Owner story
The ideas behind Righteous Fashion started in 2004 when Kajsa Cappelen Holst and Paula Kermfors studied Human Rights Law in Sweden. After working internationally with development- related questions for some time, they decided they wanted to work with sustainable development in developing countries.
Kajsa and Paula are firm believers that entrepreneurship and trade can be an efficient method for social change and sustainable development in developing countries, under condition that the trade is managed with respect for both people and environment.
For Righteous, the three elements design, fairness and environment are equally important.
Righteous does fashion that meet the requirements of the woman of today; the woman who values the uniqueness of not having to compromise neither fashion nor a sustainable lifestyle.
2006
- Establishing a sustainable production unit. Visiting Uganda, learning about organic cotton farming and agriculture, as well as entrepreneurship in a developing context.
